I was mostly of jokings, anon. Paul was integral to the development of Christianity as a religion. He was against circumcision and other odd rules and customs from Judaism, like kosher foods. I agree that many american Christians do not understand their faith outside of a personal reading of the gospels and so they often speak of the bible as if it were divinely revealed through jesus, when infact the bible is more of an interpretation and recount of his life and teachings.
