Blizzard Entertainment follows Google immediately into the abyss Anonymous 08/11/2017 (Fri) 12:39:25 Id: eed7e2 [Preview] No. 18329
ts like they never fucking learn.
https://archive.is/n33jz (Kotaku)

>Blizzard is launching a “global diversity and inclusion initiative” aimed at raising the percentage of women and underrepresented minority groups in its workforce and improving the work environment for those groups, according to an internal company email recently received by Kotaku.

>Only 21 percent of Blizzard employees are women, wrote company president (((Mike Morhaime))) in the email
which a Blizzard rep confirmed to me is real
>and “they leave our organization at a higher rate than men.” These numbers, Morhaime writes, are consistent with the game industry at large, but Blizzard wants to improve on them.

>Morhaime wrote the company is launching a diversity effort that will first focus on women, but will expand later this year to encompass other “under-represented minority groups,” who make up 14 percent of Blizzard, according to the email. Morhaime wrote that while the company will not set “quotas” for hiring female job candidates, Blizzard is encouraging employees to refer more qualified women to open positions, and it’s looking into ways to better recruit from women’s groups, conferences, and universities with an initial focus on “more women leaders and a diverse new graduate hiring class.” The company also plans to partner with organizations like Girls Who Code in hopes of bringing more women into game development and computer science.
Just a reminder that all forms of entertainment have been bought up and kiked over the last couple decades. There is a reason why music, movies and videogames are complete shit now with absolutely no creativity remaining. Sequel after sequel, remixes of songs that came out a few months prior are perfect examples of what happens when kikes buy out entire industries and fill it with their friends and agents. There is almost no talent or creativity left.

So they're pulling a Google. Good thing Gamergate totes stopped all this stupid shit. Oh wait, this 'isn't vidya' so I guess this cancer eating away at the industry doesn't apply to them.

Boy, I'd bet everyone would love to see where those 'numbers' came from and (((who))) pulled them out of their ass.

>Morhaime wrote that while the company will not set “quotas” for hiring female job candidates

Bullshit, they just admitted that's EXACTLY why they're doing it.

>Blizzard is encouraging employees to refer more qualified women
>The company also plans to partner with organizations like Girls Who Code in hopes of bringing more women into game development and computer science.
>Qualified women
>Girls who Code

One of these is not like the other. Look at the bright side OP, at least this cancer of a company can die in the dumpster fire it always should have and the best part is Blizzard themselves put the gun up to their head. They said the one phrase worse than 'we want the Call of Duty audience' and it's 'we need more diversity'.

If Blizzactivision is about a fifth women, that might already be the best they can do.
Pic related, data from India where 3.16% of men and only .71% of women were able to write code that actually does what it was supposed to do.

Also don't forget that right now Activision/Blizzard are also massive tax cheats. So don't be surprised that this incentive is most likely coinciding with some local state offers for Affirmative Actions tax credits as well.

So to >>18331 once you watch this you'll realize that when you buy any of their products you're just feeding a company that just wants to horde cash.

Keep trying Chaim, you'll catch on one day. I know they only show you "the right half of history's" news but it's all about learning on the job
