>Only insofar as they are willing to defer to and align themselves with the aims of the USG,
Well no, it's insofar as the fact that we have peace and stability and that facilitates trade which facilitates wealth.

>There is no reason to assume, as you seem to do, that France (or other regional powers or economies) will not likewise benefit from a rearranged "order" that allows for more than a single civilizational pole
As I said, China is our biggest trading partner and we were more than willing to accommodate them being a major power, that is not the issue here it's the way they are going about it that is. Conflict in one of the busiest areas of shipping in the world benefits few, and not France.

>I don't see China threatening a sovereign country if she is not threatened either
Taiwan? We don't have almost constant war, this is the most peaceful humanity has ever been. All there is is a few minor proxy wars and gurella wars.

I don't have a problem with a multipolar world, as I have said before it's the way that China is going about it that is the issue here. AUKUS probably was extreme and will have ramifications down the road but it was a likely outcome due to the behaviour of China.
