That's not a bad idea since westerners haven't heard the term much, but by the time you hear the word you probably know what it means. The definition is still a common matter of discussion for Japanese too.

More importantly, English wikipedia isn't always friendly to Japanese sources; they require relevance, and a drawback is that your article can sometimes be downvoted and deleted by morons as on Reddit or e-hentai. Oh, and they've been hijacked by feminists who like to revise history to suit their narrative, and they have done it by voting in sheer numbers. There is no way that oversensitive lgbt activists wouldn't constantly fuck with the article, and make a headache out of keeping the article to its Japanese usage.
