I just watched the French movie and blockbuster bomb, "Valerian: City of a Thousand Planets." The main character technically absorbs one day's worth of memories of a deceased alien female, but does absolutely nothing with it. It was a wasted opportunity, and the film was prioritized cgi special effects over the story.
