I found an old post I made at the Farhad forum's shoutbox, which Chilla might have deleted, 3 years ago when I was an active member there. I thought I should share it for the record so that newer members will know why we need another TG forum where we can talk freely:

This forum feels dead because you moderate so much more heavily than when you started. All the interesting things you consider off topic are shelved. If we wanted a purely informational site some of us would just read the Japanese encyclopedia sites. Farhad has been here for ten years, there is more here than a list of manga, and there are lots of recognizable usernames with differing, matured opinions.
