Someone asked when http://tgboard.rf.gd will be back. Well, I'm sorry to say that I haven't heard back from my former tech support partner for a couple of weeks, so it is possible he lost interest in restarting it.

By any case, the regular forum experiment didn't work out nearly as well as I had hoped either. There doesn't seem to be enough widespread interest in the site's goals.

Interest in contributing to the following has been lacking:
1) another "regular" tg forum,
2) a tagable tg encyclopedia in English
3) several kinds of tg content in one place 4) a system of bunkers and trenches for keeping tg content that's deleted elsewhere

5) FM didn't hop aboard. (Meaning, loli/TG writers haven't jumped at the chance to migrate from a "safe space" to a forum that is open to criticism, and google, which doesn't exist on FM or caption sites.)

6)Most significantly, free speech also doesn't matter as much to the majority of the tg community compared to me. I'm used to unapologetically presenting views for consideration even if they don't agree with what is considered common sense. I align neatly with the principles of freedom that endchan endorses, and so I'm quite surprised how far away the tg community in general is from accepting free speech and file sharing.

I have no problem with moderate leftists; it's only the so called "regressive left" who refuse to allow many forms of criticism or open debate while stressing multi-culturalism at the expense of intellectualism. Unfortunately, I suspect that the tg community has a larger percentage of the sorts of regressive people who choose to stay at 4chan after moot censored his website.

I was also hoping a chan format would let people speak more freely and allow the contrarians to come back and enrich the fold, but I have come to believe that maybe it's a lost cause, because there just weren't enough of those people here to begin with.

Although we had 72 or so sign-ups on the old forum, there were not nearly enough active members. A forum needs to grow organically, and without enough people there wouldn't be enough content to sustain it.

I find it discouraging enough that if the endchan reboot doesn't take off I might wind down my involvement in the tg community again, at least for a while, as I focus on some non-tg weeb matters. However, I will continue to upload anything for anyone who wants to remain anonymous, and to save files posted here on behalf of bitching artists if they're deleted elsewhere, just as I had planned.

The board will remain online and maintained as long as endchan does. (There are a couple of hands off global moderators at endchan too who can handle reports for CP or whatever if I do step away. Plus if I don't log in for a few months, 8chan and endchan both have a feature that lets anyone claim the board and become the new admin, so I feel very confident this board would run itself even if no one actively monitored it anymore.)

I think you're giving up too early. For what it was, it was relatively successful in my opinion, but there isn't going to be a massive amount of traffic. Even on the old Farhad forums there was no more than a handful of people on at any time. The new forum didn't have enough time to establish its niche or make much headway on the goals you listed before it went offline. Growing a forum tends to be a long term game.

If by "moderate leftists" you mean liberals, I disagree. They tend to be the ones who indulge the most in this kind of thinking. In fact, the far left is more divided on it: compare /leftypol/ on cripplechan with r/socialism or r/anarchism.

I have enjoyed visiting leftypol before, and a lot of the leftists there would tell you they hate liberals or SJWs for various reasons. The regressive left is a term with meaning which I did not make up; however, I use it to refer to certain characteristics of a group of people on that side of the political spectrum. The group I am referring to are highly intolerant of dissent, and hold their sacred principles away from criticism or debate. Because they did not reach their beliefs through sustained skepticism, they don't prioritize skepticism first. When skepticism and their belief in multiculturalism/group harmony/egalitarianism/feminism/some other principle come in conflict, they would rather continue to believe the same and to say "shoo," than to think. They are into political correctness, and thought crime, and censorship; they are no different from a religious fundamentalist who clings to objective morality.

Sadly, the tg communities are usually run by those clowns. Because many conservatives still reject fags and tranies, they tend to uncritically put their trust in the left and swallow a lot of extra baloney.

For many years I've been bothered by the prevalent censorship in the west that has enabled Fictionmania to prematurely abort lolicon stories at the rotten husk known as Fictionmania. Group-think and censorship are why their stories lost their luster. Consequently, I wanted to do my part to help reverse the growing apathy to the spirit of criticism, individuality, and creativity, because I feel that the web has lost important qualities as it evolved from decentralized homepages by hobbyists into faceless portals run by corporate interests. (The tg manga community was infected too, and I cannot remain indifferent forever when sites censor reviews for their friends or advertisers; an obvious example being all of the tg sites that shill for visual novels by a certain Australian hack.) Sadly, apathy has already become pandemic which has weakened the ability of the herd to notice a problem, and so the blood-sucking SJWs have become the unquestioned overlords of tg.

They will murder you in your sleep someday, but that's not my problem anymore. It's yours for staying there and not even making your own websites.

The medial preoptic area of the hypothalamus is the centre of male sexual behaviour. It receives signals from 2 nuclei in the amygylda (since you ask: corticomedial and basolateral). These produce the aggression/assertive behaviour visible in aroused males (male monkeys as well as humans). They also produce the aggressive/assertive behaviour seen in males in general but are stoked by sexual arousal. The signals continue to the cerebral cortex which will then force the male to adopt whatever position is necessary to penetrate the female. This is why guys can have a tough time pulling back if the female changes her mind at the point of entry. A signal is sent down the brain stem to the penis thus engorging it. A signal is sent back to the brain to create more of the hormones leading to aggression. This loop then intensifies until ejaculation. The male gets more aroused and more aggressive.

Intriguingly the female centre for sexual behaviour is found in the ventromedial nucleus, again in the hypothalamus. Curiously it plays a part in hunger too. Well, we are approaching the one year anniversary of this board, and it still keeps limping along. Sometimes its dead, but sometimes it comes to life long enough to share a few discoveries.

For my own part I have mixed feelings whenever I share TG. On the one hand I do want to preserve as much TG as I can, but at the same time I feel like a lot of the fanbase are selfish and believe censorship is acceptable, and I don't think people who bar others from arguing their opinions deserve free manga or guidance about where to find more in Japanese. So I've stopped thinking about what I can do to help these selfish people, and will only share when it suits me, or when I think that I want to translate something. I don't have an interest in helping people who don't regard highly. Most 4chan anons, e-hentai, and Farhad anons did not make the jump to this board, or offer to help with creating a board for free speech, so I have concluded that this whole time I've been dealing with the dumb masses. There have been a few people I've met who I respect more, translators, editors, and fans who helped with finding raws or by showing their enthusiasm, but generally, the people within this fandom have been apathetic trash who prefer lies over truth.

Ah well, it was fun sometimes, and I feel that I did my part to try and make the tg manga sharing community better.

I camped behind shrines in small towns, I camped on hills overlooking Enoshima; I hitchhiked through far away from the tourist areas; while in the metropolitan areas I slept in Akihabara, and at train stations in Tokyo because I wanted to see more of the world as it really is. I stood in a blizzard of sakura petals, and in a sea of umbrellas with puddles reflecting the neon lights like in a scene from Blade Runner. I saw islands like in Barakamon, I saw lots of the coastline while cycling over and through mountains, I took trains everywhere I could too. I took mental snapshots of quaint, old, and mysterious objects everywhere, and of all the faces and fashions that were alien to my homeland. I paid special attention to the well-dressed and dolled-up cute girls and their schoolgirl uniforms, and to the cute maids who called me Oniisama, and to the cute kids with smiles that can melt your heart as you share their happiness at a glance. Most people that I met were very friendly and helpful to me, especially in the small towns, and I was never bored when I was in Japan. If I got bored I would pull out a Japanese dictionary and try to learn some kanji from what was around me.

I blinked back tears when I saw the Tokyo time-lapse scene, because I felt so stuck in my backward locale. There are few engaging intellectual conversations to be had here. People here want to make more money and own more things. They have no noble purpose, they just want more money so they can buy more things for themselves and their family. The rest of the world can rot and they won't lift a finger to help even if it wouldn't cost them anything. They also are not trying to solve any enigmas, or reading many good books, for they care not for broadening their minds. They don't appreciate life much because they seek not to experience more art or beautiful scenery, with an acute awareness of the passage of time. At 15 minutes in when Mitsuha screamed that she hates her hometown and wants out, that could have been my voice.

I am considering what I can do to encourage the catalog to become a little more organized going forward. One thing I am considering doing is trying to separate the purely Japanese content from the English translations, since people who can read Japanese tend to read newer content and are less interested in hearing all the chatter about manga from two years ago just because a chapter was translated. I wouldn't bother to move things, but I think having a few organized threads would naturally encourage individuals to share raws over time.

It could also be a good idea to eventually make a general thread for talking about new TSF releases (assuming anyone can be assed to maintain it.) I had talked about making a kind of English TG wiki that would enable talking about news, but realistically I don't think it would be maintained. I'm not presently that interested in browsing EM003, twitter and Pixiv, and then becoming a human robot that reports in English the times and contents of most of the various upcoming manga. (But there should definitely be a thread like that.)

As for sharing manga raws, I think we might be better off to create at least 3 threads: (pixiv, hentai, non-h manga,) to cover the 3 kinds of content that don't generally appear outside of their respective websites.

Originally I thought it would be better to have the usual e-hentai derived division of content by gender bender, body swaps, possession, and skinsuits, but since no one from the later two fetishes comes to this board to post content (and they're less popular and I am somewhat glad as I don't like them as much either anyway), I think it might be more pragmatic to encourage separating by medium rather than fetish. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I still think the loli, succubus, female pov, mahou shoujo, and novel threads were good ideas though. One of the nice things about having a slower board is we can maintain all of those topics.
