I just realized that was posted days around her birthday too. It had to be a birthday gift. I do wonder exactly what her relationship with her parents is like now though. Violent dad with BPD and a control freak mom who definitely has some undiagnosed or undisclosed problems. Whatever it’s like, it can’t be good even if she’s learned to live with it. My parents aren’t the most sane themselves but around 24 I stopped giving a shit and gave up on fighting with them because it never resulted in anything. In a weird way you start to pity them and see them as childlike.
