Socialism is resentment over IQ, not material wealth. Capitalism is an IQ test. Wherein those with the highest IQ are allocated the most resources which they then re-invest, "trickle down economics". The main problem with Capitalism is that profit is the sole motive for anyone to re-invest anything, add on to it the the fact that within Capitalist society individuals exist solely to compete with no real sense of Community or Nation and it's not hard to see why such a system will fail. A traditional Aristocracy has reasons to re-invest in the land, people, culture, arts, etc beyond profit. A hierarchy cannot be justified if those beneath do not benefit from it and it's why the French revolution failed whereas Monarchy existed for Millenia, and whenever Civilization collapsed the people always sought the rebuild it, no one wants to rebuild Capitalism. Communism is sort of like putting a band-aid on the mess and removing hierarchy and private property while retaining the flaws of modernity.
