She confirmed that she is no longer living with her parents. She is a minor(if she not lying) which means that she need a guardian or a lot of paper to fly to England.

The theory that her parents disowned her is becoming more and more reasonable. Her parents seem nice so it most likely is that they have no other choice.

Or maybe she somehow was able to lied (again) and succeeded in convincing them to let her go to England.
