Spending New Year's Eve watching Ito alone in that gloom must be classified as masochism, like holy shit my NYE was never like that even when I was peak down, I'd at least go out and watch the live show/fireworks outside, or watch some fun live concert stream or a goofball program or something in a room that's not completely dark and soulcrushingly quiet, I'm just glad I didn't stumble upon this live because it screams anything but joyous in what is literally supposed to be the 'favorite time of year' in her view

Also, the glazing of Splatoon friends just looks so weird by this point, if I did that with friends from other games from the past it'd just feel so awkward and fake, there was a point in time where I'd do similar stuff and tout online friends and it quickly just became sad and made me think what the hell am I even doing in reality. It ain't an inherently bad thing but it's crazy (or rather sad) implying that constant Splatoon games with online gaming connections is real and peak happiness she was supposedly striving for as if she hadn't just been already doing that for years...
