Left-wing politics were never meant to be rational and sensible. They are just extreme populists. "Free shit" and "self-interest" above all else, they have no vision of what sort of a society they wish to create. Even Karl Marx didn't know what the fuck Communism was supposed to look like or how to make it functional, just that we needed to dump money on the poor masses for "self-interest" and any worker not supporting that is a retard who goes against his own self-interest, because god forbid the workers might want a functional civilization.
