The original /agatha/ actually and specifically originated out of 8chan's /asmr/ board and was very much a part of that culture, so while, yes, this board has had close ties to /r9k/ since near the beginning, which have increased over time, there was also always a difference and distinction as well, and I'd like to think the board has it's own unique culture and poster-base that is seperate from /r9k/ despite the overlap.
