They probably see how mid girls were worshipped by channers and think they have a chance of being the next Ciara without realizing the prime days of orbiting are long gone and most new girls don't even have any pull or personality to actually gain a following like previous girls.
Pinterest is full of pictures of classic egirls (Ciara, sunny, marky, agatha, etc) and I remember seeing a few 4chan egirl charts (2023-2024 era, not even old ones) being shared on Pinterest with comments from girls saying shit like "how can I become an egirl omgggg"
