imo you don't need to be so baroque or constantly rely on quotations and name-dropping if you have something significant to say, it looks like showing off. I think you might be easily impressed just because you're not acquainted with most of the things she talks about and because she knows how to "dress up" her interests in an aesthetically cool and appealing way, but all that glitters is not gold. for me, that's exactly what makes me slightly skeptical and puts me off a bit, because it looks quite inconsistent with her stated principles. sure, that's not really important, as she can do as she likes, but I'd like to see some more nuance in the way people see her, or anyone really, instead of everything being reduced to haters versus simps.
