I will also clarify what seems to be a rather dumb misunderstanding which has been repeated a few times here and that might be the reason of that same question (what are communists going to do with people who don't want to work?). when communists say that they want the end of work they don't mean that they expect wealth to grow spontaneously from trees, so that they can spend their time smoking joints and playing bongos all day long. of course that kind of society won't be sustainable, human being have to work in order to survive and to make sense of their own existence. that is incredibly foolish to think I'm ashamed of having to explain it, but there you go. what they actually mean by the end of work is the end of salaried work, of exploitation, that is the need of selling your work in exchange for a salary, which is what happens when the worker is not also the owner of the means of production. now, if you don't know something as basic as that, you need a fucking education.
