Not black but Southern and yes it’s because the “beauty standard” to them is white women. The go to insults I’ve heard between black women tend to be comments about their hair being nappy and ghetto. Most adult black women in my area just wear wigs 24/7 at this point, and even then they compete over whose wig is better. They’re very insecure because of stuff they internalized say kids, a lot of it more learned from their parents than their actual peers. It makes me genuinely sad. I would hate to be a black woman.
