well digital fingerprint refers to your computer being recognized across the web. they track you through widgets or google's ad service to see your internet activity. I'm not aware of them being able to tell information about your computer other than what the browser communicates to them.
"just don't give them any information" is a pretty optimistic take on it. and I'll be amazed if you really don't have a google, microsoft, or amazon account, only use linux, and don't have a smartphone. post your flip phone or your alternative phone OS or I call bullshit.
also the government already knows all basic info most of these sites ask for like your name, birth date, address, phone number, email, ssn and credit card info, so maybe you're protecting yourself from data breaches but you're not avoiding big brother at all.
