This is why subsistence farming needs to make a comeback. We could destabilize the entire market and fuck (((them))) over hard if more people did this. Most people only do gardening as a hobby and not as a necessity. An anon on the other board posted about growing some tomatoes. I used to have an actual farm on my property but I haven't done anything with it in years. Most people aren't aware of this "life hack", but you can actually buy seeds and edible plants with SNAP benefits. Depending on your income and state, they will give you at least 3 months of benefits and you can use the money to fund a growing operation. It's like receiving a farm subsidy from the gov't. And now, you can even sign up for Amazon Prime 50% off using your SNAP card and order grow kits and even emergency food packs using the SNAP benefits. https://www.amazon.com/shop/lowincomerelief

Most local farmers still sell their produce at farmer's markets and roadsides, but you can also sell on ebay and etsy. Find you a cash crop. Aloe vera leaves and meme peppers like Carolina Reaper are easy to keep and sell well. So do packs of seeds to uncommon flowers.
