There are different drivers for alcoholism but OCD is one of them, some people have a physical or ritualistic compulsion to drink, and you can probably see why alcoholism would generally result.

This isn't a general consideration, it's fairly specific to people with ocd or other compulsive pull factors. But because I don't know, I mention it.
