Problem is the overwhelming majority of the knife attacks happen with kitchen knives. Like 80% or so. These with box cutters and chisels cover about 98% of all attacks. Not even pocket knives.
So a machete attack is like once in a blue moon considering, but that potentially could make the news, so the MPs regulate these.
Can't really ban kitchen knives. Tho wouldn't make a difference for England's cuisine.
