Yes, it's suspicious that he has one hand in the pocket and then he reaches in with the other too - probably to make sure that's something in there - but saying knife is just a guess and not a fact. It matter because if it comes to legal case he'll swear the other guy had a knife when he doesn't and can't know.
Also concealing face is legit for any discussions when everyone is making videos and "please don't record me I just want to talk" doesn't work. Cameras are used as bullying tactic. Ofc you should do things when it comes to law that recording will help you not them, but for many people a camera just adds to anxiety and prevents them to thinking straight - which sociopaths like these two exploit that.
And no, I'm not saying that dude did not deserve the slap and the kick.
