Game Dev Tycoon was really an eyeopener for me. The only way to succeed is to create shit games and dripfeed good ideas and innovation.
If you make a great game people will cheer but their expectation will be high, and can't really over-accomplish with the next game, and it will flop and the company will go bankrupt.
However if you make a shit game, sure people will hate it, but then in the next iteration you add a tiny bit that is relatively mediocre and people will feel it's genius because they can only compare it to the previous and they don't know how a real great game looked like.
And then as you innovate and came up with great ideas, only a small part of those are need to be added to create an even better game that the previous was.
So maybe this IT specialist just might be a game where one could learn a lot about a specific business.
