Medicare subsidised mental health-specific services has
increased, from 1.2 million (or 5.7% of the population) in 2008–09 to 2.4 million (9.8%)
in 2016–17. Services have also increased, from 6.2 million in 2008–09 to 11.1 million
services in 2016–17.
