There's this one guy I just saw yesterday at a convenience store. He works to unload liquor now, but when I knew him he was a jail guard. When he saw me (I was looking out of the corner of my eye), he glared at me, and another customer, a tall but humble Asian looking kid came in and asked him if he was in the line, and he stopped a second to stop looking at me and said, "no, I'm putting an order in", with a dismissive tone. These guys get these jobs but they're so annoying to be around. This is why I'm paranoid when I go out because I'm not sure how to respond to people without creating a problem for myself and suffering some repercussion because I'm a Jew.
