Not that those years were perfect but there is some truth to this, the 1990s were the last dying vestige years of real America. Since the year 2001 the US has rapidly become a third world shithole country. Sure there are still some very nice places in the US to live but face it, you have to be older and have generational wealth to be cushioned from the rest of the impoverished society today. There is no way you can get out of college with huge student loan debt and make a decent living anymore, those days are long gone. Opportunities have vanished and the social safety net we once had is deteriorating.
