Back in the day they did just that though, make films historically accurate or as accurate as they possibly could. That did not mean blacks or Asians did not have a roll, it just meant they knew what characters would be best suited for them under the realistic circumstances. Now days they'll hire a female to play a male roll and it is just fake, gay and dumb.
