fill me in about fluoride
my teeth are all fucked up (years of neglect & genetics), im trying to turn a newleaf of dental hygiene, so im thinkin of getting the strong stuff
i know theres plenty of talk about fluoride, a lot of bullshit & a lot of real shit, but with my fucked up teeth, i'm gonna have to take the hit
so tell me, /b/, is this gonna be a hard hit or a soft one?

>fluoride
It can slow tooth decay.
It's a background plot element in the greatest nuclear war comedy ever filmed.
>my teeth are all fucked up
Fluoride slows decay. It does nothing to fix decay. Only a dentist can help you now. Go see a dentist.

Use Colgate PreviDent Plus Toothpaste.
Higher fluoride concentration than regular toothpaste.
Helped me regenerate enamel after I fucked up my teeth from braces.

i wrote OP after coming back from the dentist, almost all my teeth need to be worked on in some way, gotta get wizdoms extracted too
i have bad overcrowding (always have), so getting gunk out of my teeth is hard, my teeth used to cut floss
my teeth are still sifting right now too, they just fucked me out of a implant, so i now i just have a piece of titanium & someone else's bone in my skull for no god damned reason (pretty demoralizing to be honest)

i got one of those free mini toothpaste tubes from the dentist, and i bought "crest gum care" mouthwash
i also accidentally got the wrong toothpaste i wanted from the store just now, they didn't have much there so i just grabbed it so now i regret it
theres god damn nothing for toothpaste for some reason, i don't know why they're all out of toothpaste

its the results of the modern society.. its all about competing against others which means that there will be people who fall out of the system. it is very hard to find genuinely nice people in this world where money is everything to most people

I've been getting migraines lately, I think it's because I've switched to bottled water. Going to go back to tap.

Take Vitamin K2 daily. It might help regenerate your teeth as well. It's a precursor for two things that help re-mineralize bone, also good for circulatory system. I used to have cavity "watches" on my teeth (where they could see a cavity forming), haven't been to the dentist in a couple of years, and my gums don't really bleed anymore when I floss. I still don't floss daily. I haven't been X-rayed recently, but I have a feeling I've reversed that decay.

I wrote the vitamin K2 thing to you. Forgot to tag you. Dentists will just want to drill your mouth and charge you. Your teeth can heal themselves just like bones. If they're misaligned, then you'll need braces and all that. Start taking care of your diet and take K2 as a supplement. It's not common in a western diet. Good luck.

Fluoride cleans the enamel but it also erases thin layers of it, using too much (like once a day or drinking too much) will destroy your protecting layer and make them porous, thus yellowing them hard rather the usual beige coloring.
Then you have the whole controversy about it busting your organ chemical production including the brain. Taking into account how mentally ill americans are i could easily believe such a thing as they are by far the most consuming population of it, among other things.
