Set up a Stikked pastebin site. There are still a ton of very obscure ones still around today. Before the use of image boards I would simply create pastebins to post information, news and media links.

As much as I admire and enjoy pastebin/text services, nearly all of them are "dead" as well, as in not being used frequently. Plus the fact so many of them are so obscure and hard to find using average search engines. I used them a lot back in the day to link information or mirrored 404'd articles but many of the old ones are long gone.
