Honestly I think this is just them fucking with us. Exactly like >>1432 said. There wasn't any con meeting planned, but once they saw people theorizing about it, they decided to have some fun. Not playing OW for a day and conveniently reactivating IG is basically no effort and it will for sure make people go crazy.

But since they're stupid there are little things that are giving it away without them realizing it.
