vpn blocking is a cloudflare option, not an automatic thing. many sites operate under cloudflare and allow VPNs just fine; chenmin just didn't want to deal with spammers.

imo cloudflare is a good opsec choice to hide the host, otherwise the site is too easy to take down with reports to digitalocean or whoever.
