Storm in a teacup. DNS has long been known to be a vulnerability because it has an amplification factor - if you take down the DNS record of a site you can take down multiple servers in effect, especially with round robin type setups.
Someone has found something. Now it is known. Tomorrow it will be understood. By Wednesday it will be patched.
