Regarding the mod situation, there is an old saying: Never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.
I think it's very unlikely that a mode is on "anonce's side" or anything like that. For one, 4chan mods aren't publicly known and you couldn't just easily slime your way into their good graces. Just contacting them out of the blue would bring the risk that the mod just leaks everything into the threat.

The problem is just that the current solution does nothing to rectify that. All that content might just appear in /ttg/ instead of /bbg/, and as you said, I'm not sure if anonce really wants to get the law involved.
