The problem is a lot of these places would severely restrict our ability to create an IRL community, either through high taxes or the use of socialized housing to target and break up homogeneous communities.

When they did this they were generally moving from a restrictive area to one that allowed more opportunities. Most people are scared to move to a different country, but will follow once a few pioneers have set up something that works. If a few of us move and become wealthy community leaders, then we will naturally attract lots of followers.
