The word bible means books (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία). The Bible is a wild compilation of old books, and because of that, there are a lot contradictions, it is not a coherent book (book of books). Most Christians say that use the Bible as a moral guide, but they didn't read it all that is there. Most modern christian are cherry picking lines from the Bible, meanwhile atheists use the whole Bible in order to show the doubtful material that is there, specially in the old testament.
We do not recommend the Bible, we think is not recommended as a moral book (not a holy book). We have a modern morality! Also, our moralitycan change over time. We don't have a holy book, we're creating our own coherent guidelines and systematic attributes. It is an ongoing process, we are not stuck in the past.
