His murder charges were unintentional murder, not murder 1. he can
be guilty of all three, even though it seems incredibly awkward.
What it means is that the jury saw only through emotion that Chauvin was cold, and uncaring for what happened to Floyd, that was their perception. And that such coldness lead him to conduct himself in a manner that lead to Floyds death.
Not Floyd's behavior, or physical condition, or his own disregard, purely Chauvin's.
It's what happens when your jury is mostly women.
If you read what the jury said about if they could be impartial or not, basically all of them had said "No". They had all heard of, or seen what had happened in the year prior, and all felt that Chauvin was callously responsible for the killing of Floyd. They had made their minds up before the trial even began.
I'm sure having to commute through angry mobs didn't help.
