Youtube has never denied my curl requests, and the cron scripts' yt-dlp requests haven't been denied since I last updated yt-dlp weeks ago. Just a few times at work on saturday, they 403'd my attempts to watch random videos in mpv. If blocking gets really bad for you and simple tricks like adding a user-agent header don't work, I think your last resort is to use https://github.com/lexiforest/curl-impersonate
yt-dlp's --impersonate option uses it to make requests.
