They aren't Russians or Ukros even tho their origins can be traced back to the Kievan Rus. They aren't Poles, or Tóts, or Croats or any South Slav. They are definitely not Romanians. They were part of the Hungarian Kingdom, they were the subjects of the Hungarian Crown, and they are still living on the lands of the Crown. Many of them knew Hungarian before they were attached to any Slavic state and forgot Hungarian entirely (tho mayhap some know even now). They lived for the Hungarian cause, they died for the Hungarian cause. They are Hungarians as any other Hungarians just happen to speak an East Slavic language.
