Battery starts with a melodic acoustic part, that sure scared the OGs again out of their boots. It's Master of Puppets time. Still with Cliff grinding the bass - credited at only three songs, but he had a large overall impact - this album really delivers. Praised by most, I heard stuff like "THE Thrash Metal Album" and such. Maybe they tried to compensate for the experimenting the fans had to suffer with Ride the Lightning. The songs they produced turned out to be heavier, and finally James found something close to his voice what characterize the rest of his career.
'bout half year after the release of the album, during a tour Burton died in the accident they suffered in their tour bus.
Leper Messiah - Mustain's heritage still creeping onto this album, although disputed, and he isn't credited.
I really like Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and Damage Inc. so these are mandatory to feature.
I was hesitant what to post for fourth. Orion is a nice instrumental song, with Burton in central role, but let's post Disposable Heroes, this feels as some kind of prelude to One from the next album, the...
