Today Matt was reading from On War by Clausewitz. He did note first that

It is a difficult read for sure. We have Hungarian translation and ofc it was a more palatable read than the English sadly I don't know Prussian, but was many years ago. Perhaps I should take it in hand again.
He wrote about bunch of stuff, very comprehensive, not just strategy and tactics and ambushes and whatever, but in general about the nature of war, or role of emotions, or geometry, I dunno.
