They show us in many ways that they believe (probably because it is so) that they incur severe Karma if they do not tell us what they are doing. Shutting down the Word of God entirely would probably not go well for them. Much easier to corrupt the language so much that no one knows what anything means and have plenty of operatives on TV/internet/churches/vatican telling them what to believe/what it actually says and means.
