I only ever really played Chemist and sometimes Bartender if I felt like being useless. Even chemist was a pretty in-depth role that took some time to learn any of it, and I still wasn't really all that good after a good number of rounds. I tried antag a couple of times but it's too much pressure and I was never anywhere near good enough at the game for it.

It wouldn't kill the charm, but I just don't see it happening. Part of the reason the game is so unique is the thousands and thousands of hours of autism poured into its development. The intricacies of the game's various systems are hard to overstate. It's not something someone could easily pick up and make from scratch.
