When I was younger I listened a great deal to Nirvana, as well as slipknot, linkin park, system of a down and various other names which all fall into the same group: Young, moronic and ignorant choices. I'm too young to be affected by his death and quite frankly I find the whole cobain ordeal tedious. I've seen people, younger than me, trying to become and emulate Kurt in their lives. There's too much focus on his drama of a life than the actual tunes the man made.
Of course music doesn't have to have "good" or "positive" in it, just check this classic Whitehouse track. Beware, it's a bit ruder than Kurt's grand apathetic serenades.
As for the radio play, his wife has to make money some way.
