>From middle of December 2019 to middle of May 2020:
after the war ended there was much reconstruction to do, after a relatively easy server migration endofunctor started making improvements to the nanochan code which has longgoing problems, he also announced that he wanted to rewrite the whole code in Rust this angered many users and asukafag in particular which after sakamoto was no more got a new toy to bully, still even if he started well endofunctor soon showed lazyness and unresponsiveness to the users, in particular there were two very annoying bugs that plagues the website, one that duplicated posts and another that made references appear on other threads, in the end the Rust rewrite was never finished and the project was finally completely dead when he announced that he had lost his passwords and he couldn't access his code or the server anymore, this left the server in a undead state where no changes could be made to the code and where if the disk space run out the board would shut down, in the end the problem was solved when Nyanonymous convinced endofunctor to rent a new server, this on the other hand created that annoying redirect if try to access from the old onions, during this period starfag left the website definitely although she was already posting less cause she was being stalked by the feetfag, the soy era was characterized by a steady decline in post quality and an increase in quantity of posts and quantity of sage and 4cuck-tiers posts with many more pepes and wojacks, much of the cancer on /l/ in particular was caused by incels, on the beginning of January asukafag launched his hapa supremacy focused board hapachan running picochan(which was in a advanced development stage at this point), hapachan suffered from spam from the quapafag from day one and then from the feetfag while at the same time it struggled in finding a userbase of its own, hapachan was shut down by asukafag after few months and same happened to nanochang.
The cancer era
>From end of May 2020 to begin August 2020:
the month of May 2020 was by far the most active month in the history of nanochan, but the end of the month was filled with unrest, during the third week of May Nyanonymous randomly decided on its own to remove the quality rules from all boards this caused much confusion since even if endofunctor did not refuse the rule change he still kept deleting posts on his own term, then during the last week of May a major war between the antianimefag and the /a/fags exploded and basically killed the website actively and forced nanochan into a soft reset, during May there was a small resurgence of avatarfags but it soon died out, at the beginning of june the /oc/ board was created, but activity soon died out, asukafag also reopened nanochang as "Nanochan-V" just for it to be spammed constantly by the quapafag and the feetfag, Nanochan-V was shut down by asukafag again cause of the spam and technical problems cause by the tor boomers tripping on his server ethernet cables, during the summer the level of cancer raised steadily with many newfags replacing the original nanons, new more cancerous avatarfags like the reifag and an invasion of "gay little anime girls", slowly nanochan was dying of terminal cancer...
>Beginning of August 2020 ~ 2020-08-13:
Nyanonymous literally pulled the plug of nanochan's life support and the server died of terminal cancer, in all seriousness seems like he triggered a bug on endofunctor spaghetti code while deleting a post, the current situation is that endofunctor disappeared and it is still impossible to post, the possumfag made a bunker that nobody uses and asukafag has yet another time reopened nanochang, the future of nanochan remain uncertain at this point.
