There's no really ideal builds, but you do kinda need to get a feel for how to handle main bus I think and maybe try to get a bit of experience with setting up your production lines around. You would also greatly benefit from learning some standard builds, like how to set up a bot mall, how to set up oil production in a way that doesn't make you want for you to tear your hair out every time you try to change it, oh and definitely try some direct insertion between assemblers.
