Yea that's the part that I would expect him to miss, that and him not getting that the reason why he got betrayed by literally all of his staff is not because he wasn't brutal or controlling enough, but because this kind of plan will just not work when you're relying on other human beings (since they have that inconvenient part of psyche called "morals")
Which I would expect from him to actually start thinking that he should evilmaxx BUT rely on AI instead (another wrong lesson to take).
Basically I can see how he would see himself transposed into the game but he would definitely not make the same mistakes (he would tenfold more, the game is actually pretty convenient and Page almost gets away with it)
