What an absolutely SHIT law
First of all, any "(cyber)bullying" law (if there should be any at all) should focus exclusively on protecting children (but really that's the parent's job anyways). This law applied to ANY PERSON.
Secondly, just by posting anonymously the content of your speech no longer has to be "false or misleading" AND "damaging to character" in addition to "causing emotional distress". It just has to cause emotional distress.
So being rude on the Internet is now criminal in Michigan.
This law is unenforceable. By this definition, everyone is a "cyberbully". Unenforceable = selective enforcement.
