I have a feeling this is not paranoia as if you take a look on the front page above "Access options" you see this: "... Plus we have had several bad actors try to shut us down due to the nature of free speech..."

I can bet that the same spammers (who always use proxies) also report their CP spam to federal authorities in attempts to blame this site for "its content" trying to get the whole site shut down.
