>>6333>Its two days till endchan dosen't meet its bill
We're able to pay it just solely based on the increase of the exchange rate of bitcoing this months. So we're good.>what happens? Ads aren't a no go.
We're not going anywhere but means we can't support our own infrastructure. We'll have to find other means to do so. One thought to rent out space to other chans (but this can attracts unwanted elements). Another thought is Ads. We're looking several options right now.>I've been here a month so forgive me for not donating. This site has some very nice boards but I don't feel like I should foot its bills 100 percent even if I could.
We're not asking any one person to foot the bill 100%. If you like what we do, help chip-in if you can. If not, either let us know what we could be doing better or help us get out the word to others that maybe able to pitch in. >What are the future goals here?
3. Content>I do like the site. But you could be doing better updating/bug fixing.
Well my todo list has 32 items. I spent 6 hours one just part of one item today. I'm the only developer and we don't have extra funds to post bounties. And a lot of the great helpers of the past have moved on.
What bugs/fixes would you like to see?>This site has really good potential seriously.
Thank you, we're trying>Does the hosting cost this much cause of the massive file size?
Nope, talked about this a bit before. We hit 350gb and we haven't grown since. People just stopped uploading new/big files. With the slides and everything expiring a lot of that original files.
The reason we pay so much is to get free speech protection from a quality provider. Meguca and 76chan both had their provider fuck up and lose everything. WhiteChan just got taken down because it sounded edgy. Good hosting matters for a quality chan. Even 8chan had all sorts of troubles until HW struck a deal with Jim. If we have a quality connection, where we can say whatever and not have to worry about our provider then we can provide the best chan possible. And we really don't want anything less than that.>You could go down to 50 to 100 mbs and it'd still be huge.
would be true if people were uploading files over 50mb but they're just not.>Very little communication about this so far, just tell us about whats up tbh.
Well there's been a lot said on this in the past. It's hard to tell who's seen what thread and who's new. So I'm glad you asked. I've also been pretty busy with consulting recently (including helping other chans out, I get paid for that now). Someone's got to pay the bills.>>6336
Correct. Thanks for helping out.
