Even despite the spam, 4/pol/ is probably still the most organically active and influential board on 4chan. The problem is that imageboards have no real cultural relevance now, even the sharty, and most admins just seem to be waiting for a car to hit them so their site can die without guilt.
I believe that imageboards are important for the future of online culture in general and online political radicalization, because of the low barrier of entry and pure anonymity, so I'm putting my money where my mouth is by being a dev as well as a webadmin. Where are we going to get with twitter and telegram etc where people either self silo aggressively or are siloed by the algorithm. I used to have a twitter account, posting even the most tame pro-NS stuff at normalfags is impossible because you get shadowbanned nearly instantly. But at least you can sit in your Nazi or whatever bubble trying to get a like or retweet from ecelebs.
